Fabric is tied with cord or stitched by hand to create resist areas. When the fabric is dipped in dye, these areas will not take color. The result is a vivid pattern.
The tied fabric is soaked in dye extracted from plants, flowers, bark, or leaves. The fabric is then washed to remove excess dye.
The unwrapped fabric is air dried and sent through a process of washing and quality assurance.
The approved fabric is shipped to a manufacturing facility. There, the material is cut, sewn, and assembled into a finished shoe.
