Piece & Co. seeks a Brand Marketing Director to work closely with our CEO and senior management team to expand the Piece & Co. brand to our customer base of designers and brands, and to the consumers who wear the items made with our fabrics.
Piece & Co. launched in 2011 with a mission to bring artisan-made textiles to the forefront of the fashion industry. Our design company has developed beautiful and innovative textiles for leading global fashion brands such as Tory Burch, Nike, Opening Ceremony, Diane von Furstenberg, and many others.
We believe that good design is good for the world and are committed to finding, training and cultivating artisan cooperatives that support and empower women around the globe. Our supply chain is unique in the industry and we work with more than 40 cooperatives across 13 countries. Piece & Co. is looking for an entrepreneurial leader who will create and execute an innovative and cost effective 360 marketing strategy for our brand. The Brand Marketing Director will report to the CEO and serve as a key strategic lead to internal and external functional partners and agencies.
- Work closely with the CEO to define the Piece & Co. brand and voice to develop a strategy to bring it to market.
Develop and manage overall marketing calendar and 360 degree campaigns that supports product launches, monthly/quarterly stories, email acquisition and other business objectives.
Develop and manage all strategic marketing initiatives, including but not limited to:
· Social Media strategy and activity
· Overall content strategy
· Blogger/Influencer identification, insight and outreach
· Strategic partnership identification and management
Analyze data, new trends and insights and generate ideas on how to translate into ideas for the brand.
Develop measurement tools, establish KPI’s and benchmarks for measuring impact of marketing efforts.
Manage and allocate budgets for category; reviews and approves line item expenses.
6+ years of experience in marketing or brand management on brand and/or agency side.
Strong digital experience – social media, ecommerce, e-mail marketing.
Displays an understanding of the Piece & Co. brand, our products, customer and mission.
Effective relationship-building skills; professional savvy and organizational agility to leverage partnerships across the organization to get work done.
Experience developing innovative marketing plans with clearly defined objectives that heavily leverage strategic partnerships and digital and social mediums to delivery effective marketing messages on a global scale.
Strategic thinker willing to push the envelope and bring fresh, innovative ideas to life.
Excellent communication and brief-writing skills.
Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and also quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas and change course as needed.
Entrepreneurial – able to deal with ambiguity and work with little or no direction.
Exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented; Strong time management skills; ability to juggle priorities and multiple projects.
Employs a strategic approach to process; ability to organize and divvy up work effectively.
Roll-up-your-sleeves approach to working; personable and flexible with demands and changes in business. Willing and able to execute your vision in fast paced manner.
Extremely comfortable with data & metrics – know how to own, manage, track & interpret numbers.
